Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is a reserve spread across 14 acres on the banks of Lake Vembanad. The welcoming climate and the calm surroundings make it an ideal migratory retreat for exotic birds like the beautiful teal and the royal kingfisher. When in the Sanctuary it is a delight to hear the melodies these birds compose while you’re busy clicking away for your family postcard.
